Euphrasie Barbier was the Foundress of St Patrick School. I can relate to Euphrasie Barbier’s qualities and attitude by being caring towards those people who need help. At St Patrick’s school I like to make sure my classmates are happy and if they aren’t I try to cheer them up.
St Francis Of Assisi
Saint Francis was born into a wealthy family in Italy. Wearing the finest silks he had while his dad was a wealthy cloth merchant, he lived a blessed life, spending his days partying with the finest clothes. He always desired being a knight for fame and honor and eventually, he fought as a soldier in Assisi against Perugia. During this war St Francis was captured and imprisoned. He soon realized the purpose of his life and had a vision of Jesus. Jesus soon told St Francis “rebuild my church, it is crumbling.” Francis agreed and helped God rebuild his church, however, he realized that his mission wasn’t rebuilding the church. He was supposed to change his life. He began his mission by giving up everything he owned including his precious silks, leaving behind his old lifestyle and accepting a humble lifestyle. He began to help the poor and the sick. There were others supporting St Francis to help both the sick and the poor. St Francis’s mission tells us that we should be kind, humble, to follow our heart and to always love rather than fight.
Isaiah The Prophet DLO.
This week, on the 1st of the December, we had to do a DLO about Isaiah The Prophet. Our class had been working on it without needing a buddy and we managed to finish it. Some of us took a day and some of us took a couple minutes to finish it, but we all managed through. My DLO is under this text and its created by me and no one else.
My Dragon Ball Chapter!
This Friday, November 21st, we had to screen record our Dragon Ball Fanfiction that we created and we started working on it three weeks ago. We had to pair into 2 and my slides, and screen recording is under this text. This was created by my classmate, John and I. He worked on the artwork while I do the writing and without John, I wouldn’t be able to do this. Both slides and recording originated from John and I and us only.
Learning Both The Human Ear and Sound!
This week, on the 13th of November, we learnt more about sound and the Human Ear. Not just what we see of the ear, but what’s deep inside the ear. We learnt all this thanks to Sci Girl and we used everything we knew into a DLO. Here is my DLO originated from me and only me.
Experimenting With Sound!
This week, November 5th, we had to experiment with sound by having 2 cups, 1 long string and a pencil or pen. The first step is to stab tiny or big holes on the bottom of the cups and this is when you use the strings. We’ll need to use those 2 holes to put the strings inside and we tie big knots that way we can get them stuck inside the cup and once you do all that, get a friend to hold one cup and you holding the other then, you both go far from each other and once the string goes tight or goes in a straight line, you can communicate by just whispering through the cup.
Foreshadowing Using All Clues!
Our class has been learning how to foreshadow and we learned how to do it by reading the Dragon Ball books and then we started foreshadowing with the show after we finished the books. and looking closely or hearing closely that way you can find clues and foreshadow. Foreshadowing has been easy when having fun to foreshadow using all big and small clues that Dragon Ball give us. It was easy to do and we had to do an explanation writing about foreshadowing and it was hard to explain but we all managed through. My writing is underneath this text and everything you see there was made by me.
What is foreshadowing?
Foreshadowing is when you see hints that can be spoilers without saying it and you can use those hints to have a close prediction.
Foreshadowing is when you try to predict what will happen and it might always not be right, but it’ll always be a close guess. It’s important for shows to include foreshadowing or in other words, give you hints so that you can be engaged in the show. Such as when Goku climbed up to the very top of Korin’s tower and opened all 3 water pots. The past, present and future. And 2 characters we haven’t seen were in the future and we can foreshadow that he’ll for sure be in the show later on and that’s what foreshadowing is.
How does foreshadowing get people engaged into the story? It gets them attracted to shows because foreshadowing can require a lot of thinking and them predicting it right can get people attracted. Like when one of the characters shown in the future who looked like a person wearing a bunny mask was an opponent of Goku and that person was Goku’s grandpa. That’s how foreshadowing gets people engaged.
We foreshadowed that Goku was going to climb Korin’s tower and we foreshadowed it easily because when Goku got defeated by Tao, a tall tower appeared in the background. That’s how we foreshadow things that might happen. It’s important to foreshadow in the show because they are spoilers that don’t tell you what happened and it gets us engaged. That’s why it’s important to foreshadow in the show. 
What Happened Last Week?
Today at the 13th of October we were doing writing to practice our writing for the writing test and today’s topic was a recount about last week during our teacher’s absence and it was time consuming, but worth it. We all had to do 3 paragraphs and everyone managed through. My writing is below this text.
Last week, on the 6th of October we came into room 7 and Miss George was In our class to tell us that our class had been split in 3 because our teacher was absent.
The girls, Paula, Ezekiel, Spencer and I went into room 8 while the rest went into room six. We had to complete tasks or do tasks such as prime math’s and reading. Miss George then told us the reason why we were broken into groups and it was because our teacher’s mother passed away and had to set up her funeral.
During our time at room 8, Angelina, Paula, Ezekiel had to move into room 8 and because of that, our group in room 8 had reduced. There were times where Miss George invited us to be apart of their learning. So we had to say yes to be apart of their learning. It was a bit hard to keep up since they were all experienced and the hardest one in my opinion was persuasive writing. We barely finished it and Miss George told us that we were having Mr Carol to teach us on Wednesday and Thursday. During our learning with him it was fun and easy, but math’s were extremely hard.
We then went back to room 8 on Friday and it was boring for the first few minutes in room 8… We were struggling to do Math’s with Mr Carol because he gave us advanced math equations that we don’t usually do and it was a huge struggle. We worked our hardest in room 8 and during their learning, everyone in Room 8 were given Skittles to help with their math equations. We did our own work and school was ready to end, so we packed up the class to get ready to go home and we finally went home. That’s everything that had happened last week and I didn’t really like it.
What Is Science?
This week, on a Monday afternoon, we were doing science as our last topic/subject for the day and we were learning about what science is and trying to figure it out was like trying to figure out what the hardest math problem is, but our teacher, Mr. Bell helped us and gave us the answer about what Science really is. We also had to do a DLO about it and I tried my best to be just a bit creative and I did get creative. My DLO that I created is right above this text and it took me some time to make it.
My School Holidays
Today 14th of October, we had to write three paragraphs as our practice before the writing test and it was hard since our topic was all about our school holidays and I barely did anything during the holidays, but I managed to get through and managed to finish it. My writing will be directly under this text and enjoy reading it.
During the school holidays, my family were too busy to go out and spend time with us, but they managed to make time for the whole family to go experience a zoo that we haven’t been to at the weekends.
At first, I was a bit annoyed since I’ve been to countless zoo’s, but this one got me overjoyed. I was forced to go since it was a family trip, and I did go, but I was very annoyed. when I went inside, I expected to be one of those Zoo’s where you look at animals, and I was right, but this zoo had extra things to their Zoo. It was a Saturday morning and the first thing we saw were countless butterflies attacking us.
My whole family was frightened, but instead of me being frightened, I dashed toward the other places and my family managed to keep up with me. I was surprised to see sea animals and I was getting excited by the minute. We saw crocodiles, tarantulas and more/ We explored nearly the whole zoo, the last place to go was the dinosaur train station. But before we go to the train station, we went out to go eat food.
The food were delicious and the waiter offered us various chicken and they were amazing, Once we finished eating, we figured that the train just arrived and we had a minute left before it goes we ran as fast as we could and we made it in time. The train was colorful and quite small, but long. It was an experience for both my family and I and we were exhausted, so we went home and we were suppose to go the Rainbows End, but we forgot about it. It was fun and it was for sure an experience that everyone had to experience at least once.
